Dani Dyer candidly reveals she needed therapy to cope with the struggles of Love Island fame and rocky Jack Fincham romance

She was propelled into super stardom after being crowned Love Island 2018 champion alongside then boyfriend Jack Fincham.

And Dani Dyer has now revealed that she sought the help of a psychiatrist after struggling to cope with the fame and attention the ITV2 show brings.

Speaking to Stella magazine, the reality star, 23, opened up about the aftermath of living in the famous villa, with the months following also seeing the breakdown of her relationship with Jack.

She admitted to the publication: 'It can be very tough.

'I spoke to a psychologist from the show before I went on and afterwards. I had several calls from the producers checking if I was OK.

'And a few weeks after the show, when I felt overwhelmed and said I needed to speak to someone, they put me in touch with a psychiatrist.'

Very shortly after leaving the Mallorcan abode, Dani moved in with her beau Jack.

And though they appeared to be the perfect match, things soon deteriorated and the pair announced they'd split.

The couple soon reconciled, but it wasn't meant to be and they announced they were over for good six months later.

Dani has since moved on with her ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, while Jack is searching for love on E4 show Celebs Go Dating.

Dani's candid admission comes after former pen salesman Jack confessed that he doesn't know if he's ever been in love, despite dating Dani for nearly a year.

The Essex lad explained he thinks they moved too fast after they left the Love Island villa last summer.

Jack was asked by dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson if he'd ever been in love and admitted: 'I don't know now'.

He added: 'I had three serious girlfriends long-term... and you know, being with them, I've said "I love you" to all of them. Did I? I don't know.'

The agents then asked specifically about his relationship with Dani, who he won the 2018 series of Love Island with, but split from in March.

Jack said: 'If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine. We rushed it straight away, we moved in together. I did want to [move in with her] but I wish we had waited.

'I let her rush me a little bit. We had a genuine connection in there and I think anyone can see that. Honestly, and I mean this, I wish her all the happiness in the world.

'I’m not a bitter person. Oh, 100 per cent I’m over Dani and now I want to go and meet someone. I've missed out on so much dating. I haven't done it on over a year.'
