What do we have here? Physicians Formula "Sexy Booster Ooh La La, Sexy Eyes Trio". If that's not a mouth full! I purchased these at CVS pharmacy for $12.95. So...... Where to start? You get three types of black eye liners, each having it's own purpose. An eyeliner pencil, felt-tip eyeliner and a kohl kajal eyeliner. All three nestled in a cute red caring case. This claims to wear up to 24 hours and have that signature "Sexy Booster" Formula (scent). So I put it to the test.
I am a huge fan of the "Sexy Booster" line and just had to purchase this. This did not change my life, or I should say eye look as I had hoped. The felt tip needed time to "break in" at first it was super stiff. This made it hard to draw a line. I know that makes no sense but let me better describe. If I was drawing a picture or even a cute foux tattoo it would work great. When drawing a line on the eyelid that is not such a firm surface and does have movement to it, this product tends to drag or get caught on the skin while trying to draw a line. After breaking it in, the tip becomes much softer and more pliable making it easer to glide over the eyelid. As far as the "Sexy-Booster" scent well it had more of a chemical type sent, but I was really sniffing it. I had to, for the sake of this blog LOL.
When it came down to the eyeliner pencil, it wore off no sooner then I had applied it. I tried it both on my water line and on my upper and lower lids. The only place it stayed for a while was on my upper lid. I have to say it, did not stay all that long. This budged and smudged all over the place. I do have oily eyelids, I think even if I didn't it would have still moved all over. This was a tad dry, and took a little playing around with to make a perfect line on my upper eyelids. It applied fine on my waterline, same as any other twist up eyeliner. When winding up this pencil and putting it to the sniff test, all I could get a hint of was a wax/oil type of sent.
Now this kohl kajal eyeliner, I thought was going to be some miracle line maker. I had even seen other speak of the "Shimmer Strips" kohl kajal by Physicians Formula about how amazing they are. For me these were just as runny as the eyeliner, I even cried tears of black. Ok, so maybe I did not cry I yawned tears of black. It was not all that pretty. I thought this stuff wasn't going to budge. It sure budged all over. I have to admit this eyeliner is creamy and applies so nicely. Just a quick sweep and it was on and done. Too bad I just could not get it to work for me. Now to my surprise, this had that "Sexy-Booster" scent! I don't know who will be smelling my eyes, but when wearing this they will smell good.
Now down to the nitty gritty, would I recommend this? Hmmm this is when I wished these were sold separately and not as a trio. The felt-tip worked well, not great but got the job done. As for the eyeliner pencil and kohl kajal, they were such a fail. If you're a fan of felt tip, and don't mind two runny eyeliners then I'd say try it.
From right to left.
