First Slovenian Supercar Priced at $370,000 Ready for Salon Privé, London

You don’t think of Slovenia when you think of a supercar. But the tiny country has surprised the automotive world with Tushek Renovatio T500, the first supercar developed in Slovenia. It is being readied for its maiden appearance at the U.K.’s 2012 Salon Privé. It is the most prestigious platform the high end cars where the Slovenian creation is expected to take on better known models like the McLaren MP4-12C and Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Tushek Renovatio T500 is not being defensive at all and is full of confidence as it enters the world stage as it has been priced at $370,000 which is approximately $128,200 more than the McLaren MP4-12C and $125,848 more than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Both the cars are priced just under $250,000 including the destination charge.

The Supercar is Based on Slovakian K1-Attack Kit Car
The makers are obviously very confident about the Slovenian supercar which is based on the earlier Slovakian K1-Attack kit car. It is a road legal track car that is hand crafted for an exclusive finish. The Renovatio T500 is outfitted with an Audi RS4-sourced 4.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 444 horsepower. The performance of the car is enhanced as the engine is paired with an Audi S5 six-speed manual that sends power to the rear wheels. It gives the car tremendous power and very quick acceleration. The manufacturers claim that the super car is capable of achieving a speed of 62 mph in merely 3.7 seconds. The car is capable of a top speed of 193 miles per hour. At 2,403 pounds it is not a lightweight car.

Aljosa Tushek, A Slovenian Racecar Driver is Behind the Supercar
Tushek was founded by Aljosa Tushek, a passionate Slovenian racecar driver. He not only understands cars but loves them. He has brought in all his experience and skill to develop a super machine that guarantees performance. It is an ambitious project but Tushek plans to go ahead slowly. Only 30 cars are set for production this year. It is not going to be easy for the new entrant to compete with the well established brands of supercars. And with a much higher price tag it will have to prove its superiority on several fronts. We will have to wait and watch the response it receives from the industry and the potential buyers. The seventh Salon Privé which is a three day event is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 5 just outside of central London.
