My Experience with Maybelline Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer:

This creamy concealer comes in a chubby twist-up crayon form just like a lipstick. The outer covering of the concealer is a cream-coloured, opaque, matte finish plastic case with a transparent cap. The cap fits snuggly. Despite being lightweight, it is really sturdy. I have dropped it a couple of times already and it is still in perfect condition! The quantity provided is good. The twist-up format makes it really easy and hygienic to apply. According to me, it is a travel friendly case. Overall, the packaging is attractive and sturdy.

Maybelline Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer comes in 5 shade options and I chose the shade “Light Medium” as “Light” seemed to be too light for my under-eye area. Fortunately, this has been a good shade match and it didn’t look strange on my skin tone. Using this product is super easy. If you are using it under your eyes, just swipe the crayon directly under the hollow of your eyes and blend it with your ring finger. If you are using to hide your blemishes, just dot the concealer on the blemishes and blend away.

My dark circles are quite visible as I work for long hours in front of the computer. I mainly use this concealer to hide my under-eye circles. This shade is well pigmented and offers light to medium coverage that hides dark circles, pimples, spots and other skin imperfections. You can build up the coverage a bit more too. It effectively cancels out the redness or darkness around the nose and mouth areas. The product description mentions this to be a medium to full coverage concealer. But I don’t think this will be too useful for you if you have severe imperfections on skin.

This concealer has a soft and creamy texture that blends well on the skin. It feels very soft and hydrating. It is better to blend this product with your fingers than a brush as the heat produced by your fingers would help in giving it a more natural finish. It blends effortlessly on the skin and feels very light. The product has a non-greasy, smooth finish and helps to achieve a flawless look. It makes my under eye area look instantly healthy and keeps the skin oil-free too. If you keep blending this more and more, then the coverage looks quite sheer. I personally prefer blending with my fingertips as it helps to put the right amount of pressure.

Although, the blending was smooth, it did feel patchy after a few hours of wear and also highlighted fine lines. With this concealer, you would need frequent touchups to keep the finish smooth. Also, during the hot and humid summers, it is mandatory to set this with loose powder, otherwise the longevity period is definitely compromised. It suits my skin well and has never broken me out.

The staying power of this concealer is decent, it’s not extremely long. It stays put for about 3-4 hours easily. With primer or setting powder application, you can increase the longevity.

Overall, this is a mediocre product that helps to hide your flaws in a jiffy on a daily basis. It is also easy to blend and gives a fresh look to the face. Performance wise, the coverage is nothing extra-ordinary, so you might skip this. I would prefer to use this more as a regular use concealer and watch out for some better concealer for fuller coverage. I would definitely want Maybelline to improvise on the formula of this concealer and make this easy-going.
